CGD Society joins call to protect science budget

CGDS was a signatory to a letter to The Telegraph published on the 31st May calling for the science budget ring-fence to be kept and the Charity Research Support Fund (CRSF) protected in the government spending review. The CSRF covers the indirect costs of research such as heating and lighting laboratories in universities, allowing charities to pay specifically for the scientists and materials needed to understand disease and find cures. CGDS joined 40 other organisations and 130 scientists in support of maintaining the government’s spending on science and research.
